The main entry screen for the Olafur Eliasson exhibit is a combination of two custom elements. While it behaves much like an exploration entry screen (it has four text links), the menu is part of the persistent navigation, so you can still access the menu from any second tier screen, rather than having to go back to the entry screen. The other new element is the row of thumbnails which link to the Eliasson blog, created using WordPress.  Both of these new elements, the top-level navigation and the blog links, are custom overlays on the Pachyderm template.

 

Other server-level customizations included modifying the thumbnail size on the aspects and commentary screens. Because we are using the aspects screen here for video playback, it seemed fitting for the thumbnails to have an aspect ratio (4:3) which suggests video. We extended the change to the commentary screen merely for design consistency. All the templates were adapted to play inline video (flv).
