Hi!
I am currently writing my Bachelor papers on Open Source Software for museums and I chose pachyderm as an example. Therefore I installed it on a test server and now I am creating my first presentation. I am trying a lot of things in order to be able to describe the usability of the programme.
I nearly despaired while trying to install it - first under debian linux and afterwards on windows XP - but I tried again and again and finally it worked. After the difficulties during the intallation process, I was pleasantly surprised that pachyderm is very easy to use, runs smoothly and has many nice functionalities. You really did a good job!
But now it seems I have a problem:
Is there a possibility to include umlauts and other special characters in the screen title and subtitle in Pachyderm?
Funnily enough, those characters do show in the textfields without any problems. However, they just don't show up in screen title and subtitle.
I've already tried the HTML-codes, e.g. ö for ö, ß for ß...but no sucess.
I'm using version 2.1, now running under Windows XP.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help!
P.S.: If you like I can also post a summary of my usability testing as soon as I have finished my work - estimately by June 7th...
UPDATE: obviously some templates can display special characters in the title and some others not...
ö, ä, ß, and ü are not shown in the screen title dual comparison template, the aspects template and the slider template
the same characters are shown in the layers template, the zoom template and the phone dial template
