Hello,

I'm thinking of starting a new project at work and I think you might find the concept interesting.

I now work doing IT support for an insurance company that has a three story building here as well as several other offices in other states.

What I'd like to do is basically combine two different concepts:
1. Take the floor plan of our offices and make an interactive model such as can be created with the software at http://www.flashfloorplan.com/
(At that site, you can select a floor of the building, then an office on that floor, then set that office up with different furniture, rugs, etc.)
This program is Open Source. However, you need a Flash "SWF" file authoring program to use it.

2. Use a program such as Lansweeper which can scan all the computers on the domain in our office, then give detailed information on each machine such as how much RAM is in each slot on the motherboard, which programs are installed on the computer (and the ability to uninstall any of those programs directly from the Lansweeper interface), the ability to see which user has last logged into that computer, browse any shared files on that computer, take remote control of the computer (via VNC or RDP) to assist when the user needs help, etc.

Combining these two concepts would basically allow the user to view a graphical model of the building, then "zoom in" to view any particular office and detailed information about their computer. Such a tool would be invaluable for IT departments in almost any company.

I was wondering if there was any way to implement the Pachyderm software to aid in this process.

I understand that I defiantly must learn a little bit more about Flash to be able to do this. If you have any ideas, or other ways to do this, I'm more than happy for the input.
